The presentation will use a slew of technologies from easymock to selenium. I only have a measly 90 minutes to go through it all, but I hope and anticipate that it will be exciting, entertaining , and informational.
My bio and information about the presentation is here. For complete information on JBoss World 2008 in Orlando and other presentations that will be presented, please visit jbossworld.com
Next Wednesday, March 29, 2006, we have a double presentation for you.
First, Dave Burkett is going to tell us about StringTemplate (http://www.stringtemplate.org/). StringTemplate, to whet your appetite, is a java template engine similar to velocity and JSP, but Dave will say it is a better working product because it enforces a strict model-view specification. This template engine can be used for code generators, web site generators, etc.
Second, Daniel Hinojosa will be covering EasyMock (http://easymock.org). EasyMock, is a quick and "easy" way to create mock objects from interfaces without have to generate a class and be forced to create required methods even if it isn't going to be used. Mock Objects are replacement object used for testing and are used in a wide variety of software development processes like XP.
Our meeting will be held at the Cherry Hills Library at 6901 Barstow NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111 on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Please NO DRINKS except for bottled water.
The ABQJUG is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend and participate. If you or anyone else wants to be on the mailing list please write to me, Dan Hinojosa: dhinojosa@evolutionnext.com
PS: We have one additional announcement. Dave Burkett has decided to create the Albuquerque Ruby User's Group. The group focuses on the Ruby language, and it's popular ancillary product Ruby on Rails. Please visit http://www.rubyabq.org/ for more information
